catwalk A/W 2010

Every show should have a disco soundtrack. Roksanda Ilincic's set list of "New York city girls, "Ring my Bell" and "You make me feel" got the rain-soaked crowd foot-tapping and happy again. The upbeat mood is a new direction for Roksanda whose shows generally centre on the elegantly serene. But Autumn Winter 2010 saw a Studio 54 meets 40s film star vibe.
Her fluid gowns in two-tone black and brown silk, navy sheer blouses spilling over tight pencil dresses and billowing silk numbers cement her as the go-to designer for all your eveningwear needs. Roksanda explored daywear for the first time too, with crepe trousers and wool coats.
It is wonderfully satisfying how closely her mainline collection mirrors her diffusion line for Whistles - allowing some Roksanda in to your nightlife whatever your budget.
