Alexa Chung, arguably Charles Anastase’s biggest fan, joined the fashion throng on a wet Saturday morning to see the latest offering from the Parisian designer.

She had her camera in hand and was snapping throughout the show, so we imagine that we’ll see her sporting it before long.

The collection was classic Charles - rounded princess collars, loose fitting dresses with gently pleated skirts and towering heels that give the models a Bambi-like appearance, this time in the form of wedge Chelsea boots. Thankfully no-one took a tumble this season.

According to the press release it was a ‘collection of memories’ so it was no surprise that it had a slightly retro, nostalgic feel to it. There were wool hacking jackets and neatly flared trousers , silk blouses and metallic cardigans that were just a little bit prim and slouchy sweater dresses - all perfect for the Parisian girl-about-town with her blown-out hair and winsome look. As for Alexa? We’re guessing she’ll go for the black velvet dress printed with gold clovers.
