The Felder Felder girls unveiled a new direction for autumn winter 12 on the first day of London Fashion Week

Autumn winter 2012 sees a colour progression for the Felder Felder girls. Once synonymous with gothic dark palettes and a punk-meets grunge aesthetic, the label has softened, evolving into a style reminiscent of an off-beat LA vibe.

Continuing last season’s winning metallics, with their signature skater skirt and of course the killer Kat Maconie shoes still in place, this was still Felder Felder to the core, but lightened with dusky pinks, burnt golds and tangerine colours not usually associated with these girls, but here they are for winter, working damn well. With inspiration coming from both the 1930s and Ryan McGinley’s photographs of nudes in caves, the collection varies between long crepe dresses with simple bead detailing to flirty techno-printed dresses and pleated skirts.
