Clean, pure and intensely focused, Riccardo Tisci’s spring/summer 2010 vision for Givenchy showed a designer at the height of his powers.

From the moment the first model walked into sight, brows bleached, towering on bandage-wrap wedge-heeled ankle boots, it was clear that this would be a show that mattered. In just three years, Tisci has established his signature at the house: strict modernity with a sense of romance and rock star drama. This collection offered all that and more. Roman couture, Grecian draping and op art prints were the influences, which meant graphic black and white stripe jackets, drapeded harem pants, intensely ruffled skirts, skinny leggings and gorgeous tulle dresses. All things we’ve seen from him before, but pared down and refined, beautifully executed and insanely desirable
