It’s hard to put in to words the exuberance of a Jeremy Scott show. It’s comparable, in a way, to jumping into a gumball machine and being spun around and around. The results, often at times trippy, are a fun house of camp. It’s like revisiting one’s elementary school years, where pencil cases were “It” bags and everyone collected stickers.

For autumn winter 2012, Scott merged a Bart Simpson motif with the concept of a computer keyboard. Yes, you read that right. That translated into oversize sequined dresses in bold horizontal swashes, a cape made of multicolour hair extensions and a unicorn motif stretch dress. Disco pants, light-up bindi jewels and metallic techno fabrics were among the other highlights of this outlandish collection. It’s clear that the days of sparkles and rainbow unicorns are far from over.
