Jeremy Scott’s collection this morning may have been more fancy dress than fashion show, but it was definitely a crowd pleaser.

Inspired by the Flintstones it was an eye-popping array of brightly coloured dresses and skirts, covered with black tiger stripes and leopard spots and with serrated edges – well his signature style is pop-meets-cartoon. The star count was high – Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe walked, their hair crimped and sprayed to towering proportions with bone hair clips attached, and Jodie Harsh, Lady Victoria Hervey and Estelle sat front row, as well as Cory Kennedy who was sandwiched between boyfriend Jamie Reynolds and Cobrasnake photographer Mark Hunter. The looks are probably not going to blaze a trail into hot fashion trends – few of us have the need in our lives for neon green faux-fur gilets and Bruno-style miniature swimsuits - but you can’t fault Scott for showing the fashion pack a good time first thing in the morning, not to mention ensuring that we were all singing the Flintstones theme tune for the rest of the day.
