We had high hopes from Jonathan Saunders, the designer who has championed and grown the use of print on a global scale.

His spring summer show hit the mark once again giving us the standard we demanded, and an extra mile too.

The print was there, this season a brocade meets paisley used on graduated colour washes echoing the autumn winter 2011 collection, but looking as fresh as ever. In a 50s Miami style, sherbet pastels mixed with neutral coffee colours on tiny polka dot print silk pyjamas and candy striped shirts hanging loose over lime full skirts. There was a plethora of ways to integrate his print: on a low-key shift, a Hawaiian style wide-collared shirt or perhaps embroidered lace on a floor-length gauze gown.

The look that got us all thinking about how we can mock up a similar look tomorrow was the retro waffle knits over swing silk skirts. So simply chic that it is sure to be the copycat trend of next season, if not now.

Christian Louboutin's block colour wedges were such a wonderful accompaniment that if we start a campaign, we might get them in to wide scale production. All hail Saunders, you've done it again.
