Boxy is becoming a buzz word this London fashion week, and with the help of designers like Kinder Aggugini an oversized, structured boxy silhouette is shaping up to be a key cut for the season.

There were great prints too, but let’s shelve them for a second to explore Kinder’s mannish design.

Whether we were looking at dresses, tops, jackets or shirts and whether they were short or long, the common denominator was their oversized nature and structure.

Sleeves felt roomy, whether they were short and cropped, or wrist length-long, while coats were done up to the neck to accentuate the width of the shoulders.

Cute collars on the coats added a touch of sweetness, as did the youthful prints, and although feminine and a touch playful, this collection never fell over into the realms of saccharine.

So let’s talk print. If thin, little stick cowboy-men prancing around cacti on a shirt doesn't make you smile at a catwalk show then little will.

The cowboy, cacti and rodeo horse prints worked really well on blue and green (despite the old adage that the two colours should never be seen together), and red pinafore dresses were sweet, and set-off the cowgirl prairie theme well, as did the huge cowboy hats, and little neckerchiefs.

Simpler, more minimal pieces by way of rolled-up boy shorts (which felt summery) and blazers were thrown into the mix, so as not to overwhelm the collection with the tongue-in-cheek theme.
