At least in the wonderful world of Marc Jacobs, whose spring/summer 2010 Marc show was a crazy, colourful overload of girlish charm and his own greatest hits. With Desperately Seeking Susan hair and a Beastie Boys soundtrack, we were definitely back in the 1980s, a decade Marc proved last season that he has mastery over. This time, though it was a younger, less self-consciously cool trip. Designs were kept short and cheeky: a towelling rompersuit teamed with print high-top trainers and a rainbow bright elastic belt. Everything came in some sort of clashing print, checks, stripes, animal, hearts and, most interestingly, a cheery African-inspired nod towards the season's growing safari trend.
