A firm favourite on the London schedule, Richard Nicoll looked to his own wardrobe for inspiration for his Autumn Winter 2010 show, transforming it in to a womenswear collection.

And luckily for us, he's one of the best dressed designers going.

Wardrobe staples the trench coat, blazer and pencil skirt were deconstructed and begun again, re-born as part waistcoat/part blazer, half pencil skirt/half drape or floor-length gauze worn over a tight mini.

It was as slick as ever with a stunning selection of eveningwear dresses from bustier cocktail shapes in burnt orange velvet, to long assymetric gowns in teal.

The buzz after the show centred around Erickson Beamon's crystal-covered bulldog clips; used to hoist assymetric shoulders or pin the back of blazers. The forgotton star of behind-the-scenes styling finally gets its day in the limelight.
