The intrinsically African roots of the Suno label continue to grow and develop stronger each season. For Autumn Winter, designers Erin Beatty and Max Osterweis continued to explore their use of rich patterns and contrasting textures.

The wildly colourful collections, seemingly going against the more minimalist and restrained aesthetic we’ve seen thus far, were perfectly fitting for a label that has been dubbed the Mary Katrantzou of New York. There’s a certain quirkiness to their aesthetic, and that shines beautifully through as the forgiving shapes and cuts appeal to a variety of body shapes and sizes.

The explosion of flower power—at times purposefully contrasting—all somehow worked beautifully on cigarette trousers paired with a loose jacket-and-tee or a mismatched suit combo. A fifties silhouette box pleat skirt took care of the fun and ultra feminine quotient, particularly when paired with an oversized polo-esque top in both contrasting prints and colours.
