With a nod toward menswear, Amy Smilovic’s Autumn Winter Tibi collection was tailored through and through—from the cropped trousers paired with sharp blouses to the double-breasted jackets.
Knitwear heavy, as one would expect from the popular contemporary label, the slouchiness of the sweaters and flowy chiffon tops nicely counterbalanced the otherwise well-manicured collection. What makes Smilovic a success is that she understands what her girls want: versatile separates that are easily mixed and matched. This collection was all about the pieces that women will want to wear; its easy and feminine appeal included a plethora of accessible must-haves: a tailored blouse in a shimmery green layered over a black shirt, a white sleeveless peplum blouse and floaty skirt (both printed with blue and black bird silhouettes) and bottoms in bold pops of colour.
