Vanessa Bruno's spring summer 2012 collection hit the nail on the head.
Bruno loves to explore foreign climes and re-work them in to an impeccable Parisian style which can be worn with the required level of nonchalance.
We've seen the print-on-print patchwork trend rear its head throughout the season but at Vanessa Bruno it was used with a bit of youthful sass. Pretty, ditzy, spriggy prints were layered or panelled with metallic silver, giving that most feminine of ideas a much needed jolt.
The sparkle continued with pearlescent drop-shouldered jackets, silver deep V neck mini-shifts and gold shiny buttons appliquéd to the hem of dresses. To keep it Left Bank though and avoid these glitzier pieces being mistaken for partywear (God forbid, the Bruno girl does not dress for dinner, her style is omnipresent), ragged knits were thrown over to dampen the flames.
