Of course, their take on the wardrobe staple is slightly different to the classic white shirt that is part of of this season’s front row uniform.
The show opened with a sheer shirt dress striped with pieces of blue silk and adorned with extravagant, puffed sleeves ringed with oversized cuffs. And the closing white number was as show-stopping as you could hope for, layers of panniered shirt tails for a skirt and towering layers of cuffs and collars for sleeves and bodice - it would definitely liven up next summer’s wedding circuit.
For those of us in need of a more everyday wardrobe, however, there were some luxe, wearable pieces. Light shirt dresses with one half of the skirt a mini and the other a flowing maxi; shirts that were cropped in front and streamed behind and teamed with skinny trousers.
Oh, and in the latest surprise spot of the season, Geri Halliwell was in the front row. Could she be replacing Tilda Swinton as the duo’s next flame-haired muse?
