The Chicago-based pair were runners up in a prestigious CFDA prize that has seen them collaborate on a collection for J.Crew. Their collections are inspired by far-reaching references – sailors’ wives and fairies, anyone? –and are made up of perfectly unexpected pieces that just work. No wonder their star is so quickly on the ascent.

Founders Polly Wilkinson and Harriet Barford are this season holding their first presentation in Soho, and we're looking forward to catching a glimpse into the ethereal world of their latest offering.

Her wearable sculptures fulfil that promise: made from graphic shapes, bold clashing colours and a mish mash of borrowed-from-the-rainbow fabrics, they’re a psychedelic trip into the outer realms of fashion.

But pre-nups and Scientology aside, Katie Holmes is making her first New York Fashion Week presentation this week along with partner (and stylist) Jeanne Yang. The label has been available now for three years but this will be the first time Holmes & Yang will be opened up to the scrutiny of the world’s fashion editors. Watch this space...

But over the past few seasons the Brazilian designer has fought to overcome his faddish status as a child prodigy and to create clothes that cement him as a designer to watch. With a focus on structure, Lourenço is intent on breaking boundaries with his clothing, and his architectural, visually challenging designs have drawn comparisons to Nicolas Ghesquière as a result.

The first collection from the 28 year old Chinese designer sold out of Browns within a month, so his salon show during London Fashion Week is a seriously hot ticket.
