Natascha Stolle has that rare talent – she designs clothes that cool girls really, really want to wear. Take her last collection, a very chic take on teenage awkwardness that married fluid tailoring and abstract graffiti prints, oversized sweaters and flighty layers of chiffon for something sexy without being revealing, and playful while still being elegant. Hailing from Virginia, Stolle settled in London a decade ago, working for Peter Jensen and Russell Sage before heading to study at Central St Martins. Since graduating, her two collections with Fashion East have gained her serious kudos and great reviews. When asked the kind of woman who she imagines wearing her clothes, she replies: ‘Easy going with a sense of humour. She is stylish, laid back and so going out tonight.’ Who wouldn’t want to be that girl?
