S/S 2011 : New Model Faces

When an unknown brunette opened the Marc Jacobs show back in February, everybody took notice. A privilege usually reserved for the biggest models, it was in fact 19-year-old Tati Cotliar who took the prime spot. And after only a year of modelling she has walked in all the key shows and is now tipped as the next big thing. Watch her continue her success this season…

Carla has seriously wowed this year. Discovered while in a hairdressers by a leading casting director, her whirlwind year has seen her debut for the now famous Hakaan show before going onto appear in a dazzling array of shows including Gucci, Jil Sander, Chanel and Celine.

Since rising up the ranks as a young model in Teen Vogue, this Latvian beauty was the talk of the fashion pack when she became the face of Derek Lam, placing herself firmly on the rising star list. Since then she’s walked for all the major fashion houses as well as opening for Nina Ricci and closing the Louis Vuitton show. And to top off a great start, she’s now bagged herself the Versace resort 11 campaign and is one of the stars of this season’s Miu Miu campaign, directed by Madonna…

Any girl chosen by Miuccia Prada to walk exclusively for the label is one to watch - and this season, Barbara Palvin is definitely something special. Hailing from Budapest, Barbara was discovered at 13 but waited three years to start modelling - and now finds herself in the midst of a major ascent.
