Legendary photographer, David Bailey, has won the Lifetime Achievement award at this evening’s ELLE Style Awards. It was presented to him by Tom Ford.

Bailey has been shooting portraits of some of the world’s most famous faces for more than 50 years, capturing everyone from Penelope Tree to Kate Moss. He was responsible for changing the way that fashion was photographed in magazines, and his antics inspired the 1960s film Blow-Up.
And he shows no signs of slowing down; he’s currently the subject of a massive retrospective exhibition, Bailey’s Stardust, at the National Portrait Gallery, has just launched his first collection of T-shirts and has photographed Gwendoline Christie for our March issue.
