So what's the 2021 update on a classic ponytail? 'Sleek up to the knot with no hair out of place,' says celebrity hairstylist Paul Edmonds. 'The knot has to be worn lower than before, with back combing to give extra volume - this year's ponytail is all about volume.'
When in doubt, add accessories to your pony. 'Diamanté hair accessories are du rigueur this awards season. Try using an old brooch or even some diamanté clips or grips,' advises Edmonds.
