Shiny, shiny… although metallics are everywhere this season – from gold sequin harem pants at Ralph Lauren to a heavy silver cocktail dress at Versace – the best of the shimmery stuff came in pale, quietly luxurious colours rather than in-your-face sparkle and bling. Embellishment is no longer a trend saved for evening and looks much cooler mixed up for day. Try a sequined blazer with your oldest skinny jeans, or an embellished t-shirt with a wool skirt.
