The fashion pack flock to the Fendi party

Amy Winehouse

Friday night saw the fashion pack flock to see Amy Winehouse (pictured) perform at one of the hottest events on the Paris schedule – the new Fendi store opening party. It was the biggest and most talked about party of the week, as LVMH who own Fendi were rumoured to have spent £1million securing Amy's presence for the night.

Anyone who's anyone on the fashion scene tried to get their hands on a coveted ticket, with only a priviliged few managing to actually get in to the super exclusive event - including the ELLE team - natch! For the intimate gig Fendi turned a huge space at the back of the new Avenue Montagne store into a red-lined club with a stage, on to which Amy appeared at 11.15pm and played for the crowd who had managed to squeeze to the back to see her. (Team ELLE actually made it by following the Olsen’s and their entourage through the kitchens... really!)

Clad in a tiny little black dress, accessorised with a stunning Fendi belt, Amy belted out her hits from from Back to Black while Rihanna sang along from the audience. Kanye West, Bernard Arnault (Salma Hayek's fiancée) and of course Karl Lagerfeld (with his sunglasses on - obviously) were also front and centre for the live performance.

Of course everyone who didn't make it to the back of the store wanted to know, how did Amy look? The answer, much better, though she did tell us she had the mumps. That didn't seem to effect her performance one bit though. Get well soon Amy!
