Burberry Prorsum, Autumn/Winter 2009
Mixing teen spirit with English heritage, Christopher Bailey has breathed new life into this iconic British House. Since he took over as creative director in 2001, the Yorkshire-born 36-year-old has turned Burberry into one of fashion’s great success stories. Although he designs several lines, Prorsum is the fashion-forward label – modelled by Kate Moss in campaigns shot by Mario Testino. Although it always features Burberry signatures – most notably, the trench coat and plaid – Bailey has made Prorsum truly original.
