It’s always a good sign when an Olsen sits in your front row. Giambatista Valli can count both of the stylish twins as fans – not surprising, given how paparazzi-worthy his clothes are. Designing under his own label since A/W05, after a spell at Emanuel Ungaro, Valli specialises in glamour with a defiantly old fashioned edge. Not that his collections aren’t modern and polished, of course, but he loves bold volumes and dramatic embellishment. And not surprisingly, the celebs love them too.
