Oscar De La Renta is Anna Wintour’s favourite designer. Like her, he epitomises uptown New York chic. But don’t let that put you off. He’s also a favourite of Sarah Jessica Parker and Renee Zelwegger, who both adore his elegant eveningwear – strapless prom dresses in heavy satins, cut to perfection. And so they should be: De La Renta has been honing luxurious signatures since he started out back in 1965.
