The Alexander McQueen exhibition, Savage Beauty, broke museum box office records on both sides of the Atlantic. So it makes sense that the movie world might want to tell his story on screen as well. Let's just hope the cues for tickets aren't quite as long?

Deadine reports director Andrew Haigh is set to make a movie about the designer's life, using the McQueen biography Blood Beneath the Skin as research material. You may recognise Haigh's name from all the pre-Oscar buzz you've been seeing online. His film 45 years, earned star Charlotte Rampling a Best Actress Academy Award nomination. And Pathe, the studio behind respectable, critically-acclaimed films including Pride and Suffragette, will reportedly devlop the project.

It sounds promising, so far. But all we really want to know is, which actor will be cast as Lee McQueen?
