The British Fashion Council has named ten London-based emerging talents to receive show sponsorship next season from Newgen, sponsored by Topshop.
The BFC's list of rising stars is something of a fashion oracle, with an excellent track record for spotting and promoting future gamechangers. This new gang of talent follows in the footsteps of some of the most revered names on the London schedule: Christopher Kane, Erdem, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Roksanda Ilincic and Simone Rocha.
So drumroll please…
AW15 catwalk sponsorship goes to: (restrained modernism courtesy of Paula Gerbase), Ashley Williams (Pixie Geldof’s BFF - known for irreverent, Americana prints), Marques’Almeida (Marta and Paulo - the Portuguese denim-heroing duo) and Ryan Lo (who dresses doll-house-dwelling dream girls in candy coloured frills).
Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard (a new designer) will all receive presentation sponsorship. Two further newbies, Marta Jakubowski and Sadie Williams will receive exhibition sponsorship.
