Christopher Bailey has won the Editor’s Choice Award at the ELLE Style Awards 2015.

Editor-in-Chief, Lorraine Candy, presented the British designer with his prize.

As Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer for Burberry, the Yorkshire-born designer has been credited with reinventing the British heritage brand over the past 13 years. After cutting his teeth at Gucci and Donna Karan, Bailey joined Burberry in May 2001 as Design Director, and set to work completely redeveloping the brand’s creative and strategic direction.

'On his watch Burberry has invested in emerging creative talent across the design, film and music industries, as well as delighting us with some of the most memorable catwalk collections of all time - everyone leaves a Burberry show with goosebumps,' said Lorraine. 'ELLE’s Editor’s Choice for 2015 goes to the smart, visionary and reassuringly down-to-earth Christopher Bailey.'

Just some of our Burberry-clad ELLE cover stars throughout the years include Suki Waterhouse, Helena Christensen, Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham.
