Erdem Moralıoğlu has won Designer of the Year at the ELLE Style Awards 2015. Alexa Chung presented the designer with his award.

Celebrated for his intricate floral designs, Erdem is a favourite of the likes of Anne Hathaway, Kate Middleton and ELLE March 2015 cover star Keira Knightley. 'It's a wonderful thing when you see your clothes out of the context of a show or a shoot, worn by these extraordinary women,'  he says of his famous fans.

Since his debut collection in 2005, the Canadian-born designer has become known for his imaginative pieces and delicate craftsmanship. Talking about his design process, Erdem says: ‘I think my approach is really always about a narrative […] It’s always about this woman, and who she is, and what’s happened to her, and what’s about to happen to her, and who she is as a living character.’

It’s this dialogue between the wearer and the design process that has made Erdem a favourite among celebrities and royalty alike, and a deserving winner of ELLE’s Designer Of The Year 2015.
