by Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier has won the Best Contemporary Brand award at the ELLE Style Awards 2015.
M.I.A was there to present the designers with their award.
Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley MBE, both 41, joined the brand in May 2013. Hillier was appointed Creative Director, with Bartley joining as Women’s Ready-to-wear Design Director. It is the first time anyone other than Marc Jacobs himself has held creative control of the label.
Of Hillier, Jacobs says: 'Her creativity and energy inspires me and everybody she works with […] She is a great leader and a team player, and a great friend', while ELLE's Assistant Editor Rebecca Lowthorpe says she is 'one of the smartest and nicest women in fashion'.
Both the women have won ELLE Style Awards before, with Hillier crowned Accessories Designer Of The Year in 2014, and Bartley International Designer Of The Year in 2008. Individually, they are both incredibly talented; together, they are a fashion force to be reckoned with.
