First, a quick disclaimer. I don’t condone Wiz Khalifa’s lifestyle or behaviour. Just say no, kids. Neither am I about to tattoo my face (each to their own). But last night, following his entirely confusing Twitter battle with Kanye West, I found myself cruising his Instagram account and madly tapping for outfit credits. It was an entirely unexpected reaction and I was just as confused as you likely are right now.
A 4-1-1 on the Kanye/Wiz spat: Khalifa insulted West’s new album name, Waves (formerly Swish), by saying he wasn’t ‘wavy’ enough to call it that (nope, we don’t know what that means either). Kanye, king of the overinflated reaction to criticism, was riled and started laying into Wiz. Amongst his many below-the-belt posts was an off-tone (since deleted) comment about his admiration for Khalifa’s choice in trousers:
And so the Instagram surfing began as I tried to work out which ‘pants’ Kanye was talking about. You may say I have too much time on my hands.
To manage the confusion that started to bubble up inside of me as I realised my fondness for Wiz’s style, I started to mentally compartmentalise the snippets I was gleaning from Mr Khalifa, and now I will share them with you. You are welcome.
