It's coming up to five years since the Portuguese duo Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida showcased their first collection at London Fashion Week and we fell in love with their version of denim heaven.
The young brand already have a lot to celebrate, with a successful collaboration with Topshop and the LVMH prize already under their belt.
To get their 5th Birthday plans underway they have invited us to join them.
Not only has the brand relaunched their #howdoyouwearyourMA hashtag, which lets you and the brand keep on top of how people around the world are rocking their Marques Almeida garbs, they have also started a brand new search for a brand new MA girl under the hashtag #newMAgirls, which ends at the close of August.
This is what the team over at Marques Almeida had to say for themselves:
'The #newMAgirls hashtag is a campaign we launched to look for new girls to be part of the Marques Almeida gang for our 5th birthday; it's about what you do, where you're from, how you like to spend your time, what inspires you - it's about personality and attitude, and being unique.'
Isn't this what MA is all about, their ability to be so, totally unique?
Since their first denim-heavy show, their vision has grown, the denim is ever present yet slowly being refined.
They still stock their brilliant t-shirt dresses in three shades of denim, but increasingly ribbed wool, ruffled mesh and chiffon became the line's defining features.
How then, this A/W 16, did the pair manage to make camouflage, netting and puffer jackets so, inexplicably, them?
Despite the evolution of fabrics and colours the ethos and image of the brand is uniform; their clothes have a personality that is both deeply rebellious and fantastically wearable.
And the good news isn't over yet!
Turns out you can get a slice of the MA dream by going to their website and signing up for their newsletter where you will get news of the pop-up shop's location this weekend!
There are rumours of exclusive items, discounted clothes and an in-store competition floating in the fashionsphere, which you don't want to miss if you happen to be in London then.
I, for one, will be stretching my credit to the limit by building on my 6 piece-strong collection, I implore you to join me.
