Known for his cool kid-approved streetwear, Alexander Wang is stepping outside his realm and getting a luxe upgrade for spring/summer 2018. The designer teamed up with Judith Leiber for a limited-edition, Swarovski-encrusted bag (that's shaped like a stack of $100 bills, of course).
As WWD reports, the minaudière is made of 10,263 black, gunmetal, green and clear Swarovski crystals. Accentuated with a real industrial rubber band and chain strap, the kistch bag takes an entire week to hand-bead to completion. Purchasing it, however, will require an actual stack of $100 bills (and then some), as it costs a cool £3,868.
Leiber's infamous Swarovski-encrusted bags first found fame on HBO's Sex and The City in the form of Carrie's sparkling swan clutch bag and again in the Sex and the City movie with a quirky cupcake clutch.
The collaboration with Leiber will make its official debut in Wang's spring/summer 2018 show this September, but there's a catch: it will be produced in an extremely limited quantity of only 20. Sex and The City fans and members of the #WangSquad better act fast.
The Alexander Wang x Judith Leiber bag will be available at the Alexander Wang New York and London stores, Saks Fifth Avenue and alexanderwang.com in November.
