Melania Trump's fashion designers of choice tend to include international labels like Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren, but the First Lady has just added a lesser-known name to her wardrobe.

Melania visited a drug recovery centre in West Virginia on Tuesday amid America's ongoing opioid epidemic. Instead of dressing in her preferred designer brands, she chose one with a political association - Samantha Cameron's brand Cefinn.

The green 'belted muslin shirt dress' design is priced at £295 and is available from Cefinn's website as well as Selfridges and Net-a-Porter.com. It's believed to be the first time Melania has worn the British brand, although she did add her own twist to the fuss-free style. Melania replaced the belt with a matching leather version and paired the dress with towering Louboutin heels.

Targeted at high-flying professional women who are interested in fashion but aren't consumed by it, Cefinn (the initials of Cameron's four children) was launched in February. While it's not clear whether Trump and the former British Prime Minister's wife know each other, Cameron, who spent six years at Number 10, understands the pressure of "getting it right" in the fashion stakes.

'I remember the first couple of party conferences looking really odd because I had to borrow things,' she said in an interview with The Telegraph. 'I'd turn up and [the special advisers] would say, 'What are you going to wear?' I'd show them all these things I thought were really nice, but they'd all be grey or black. You realise quite quickly that you have to put in a bit of time and effort. When I see the Duchess of Cambridge or Michelle Obama, I know that getting it that right, which they do, takes a lot of time.'

During promotion for her label, Cameron added that she 'wanted to create an urban uniform for busy women who love fashion.'

Cefinn could be on its way to becoming a favourite with the First Lady.
