To announce the launch of Erdem's forthcoming collaboration with H&M, London-based designer Erdem Moralioglu brought an old English secret garden to Los Angeles. Walls of flowers and a swaying chandelier were the perfect backdrop to frame the designer and retail giant's romantic eveningwear and coordinating suits. If Wednesday Adams ever married her true love in the English countryside, the set of Erdem and H&M's collaboration would serve as the perfect inspiration.

The collection is chock full of signature Erdem items: Models descended from a large balcony wearing a series of floral-print dresses—some knee-length, some full gowns, some with cut-outs, bows, sheer details, and frills—an adorable pajama set, suits, and tweed. But Moraliouglu also planned some unexpected standout moments, tossing in a couple leopard-print coats—one for the girls and one for the boys.

So what did we learn? H&M and Erdem may be opposites—one mega-retailer that will try its hand at any trend and the other a single-minded designer who prizes elegance above all else — but that's what makes the results so enchanting. "Erdem has created, for us such a magical world with Erdem x H&M," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's creative advisor. "A feeling we need in this world now more than ever."

So if it's all worth having, but you can't just gleefully press add to cart on everything, what should you focus on? To answer that question we turn to the celebrity attendees for inspiration—celebs who came dressed in the collection showed that while it's thematically tight, there are still a range of looks to choose from.

Zendaya chose to wear the blue sweater and floral skirt from the collection.

Selma Blair wore a beautiful black lace dress from the collection, while Rashida Jones and Kate Bosworth opted for the true English floral look.

The one you probably want to keep a real close eye on is Erdem favorite Kirsten Dunst. Dunst was one of the few who attended the party wearing the pajama set—boldly embracing the eveningwear-for-daywear trend. It was a look that resonated with a ton of customers and the set quickly sold out at the event's pop-up. If you're thinking of buying one item from the collection, this might be the one to put in your crosshairs. Other items that were really moving at the pop-up include the Erdem logo hoodie, floral trousers, and the black silk top.
