1) Leave the shoes at home. This collection was inspired by Ralph Lauren's holiday home in Jamaica, meaning sandy beaches and cobbled shores were the terrain on his brain, rather than tarmac.
2) ... Unless you're representing the tropical nation at the Winter Olympics, in which case, whack on a PVC parka like the legendary team that inspired the movie Cool Runnings.
3) Stripes are chic, especially when when they come in the form of matchy-matchy co-ords.
4) The wellies were also good. For those staying grounded in the UK this spring/ summer, anyway.
5) Hollywood's into it. Katie Holmes and Hilary Swank were among the stars in the front row. Don't be surprised to see a few of these looks hit the red carpet - perhaps the Jamaican-flag inspired frocks, rather than the XL coats though...
