'I like being comfortable and usually choose either jeans and trainers or jeans and heels. I would say I am a smart casual kind of girl'
‘Modern and monochrome are words that sum up my style. I love understated looks - like Tilda Swinton’s. The most treasured thing in my wardrobe are these old green Marni heels that I bought years and years ago.’
‘For me style is about story telling. I’m super inspired by early cinema, and costumes that are really important to the narrative. I like doing that with my clothes – knowing this dress is from Notting Hill or this is from a vintage store in Istanbul. I like shopping in vintage stores but not just in London, in the Middle East too. I get a lot of stuff from a friend of mine who has a crazy vintage warehouse in downtown Cairo.’
‘I never throw anything away so I have a really big wardrobe. I move things around every so often to remind myself of what I have. At the moment my hair is blue so I have to dress smarter and a bit more subdued but when my hair is brown I’m more adventurous.
‘Style for me is about individuality, I just like to dress a bit differently from everyone else. I was probably about 14 when I worked out my own style. I was a goth actually and am still a bit of a rock chick.'
‘I have 5, maximum 10 minutes to get dressed, so generally I just put on whatever’s clean! Classic tailoring or jeans and a top, nothing complicated – I love the simplicity of Philip Lim’s designs.’

‘I’m really into raiding my relatives wardrobes for old stuff they’ve had for years. I’ve got a couple of dresses of my mums from the 80s and also a coat of my auntie’s from the 80s - I just don't think you can get the cut and fit of things now, even when you pay a lot of money. I also love picking up interesting things from my travels – Scandinavia is particularly good, I like that simple, androgynous style.’
‘I used to get told that I dressed for work like I was going to a cocktail party but there’s always something that roughs up by look a bit like a ladder in my tights or a hole in my cardigan. The dresses I make really are my favourite things to wear. I source the fabrics from car boot sales and theatres in Paris where they have huge archives of fabrics from the 60s and 70s.’
‘My style is quite pretty but hard – a bit rock and roll with a lot of leather and lace. Style for me is looking chic but effortless - wearing a beautiful dress with bare feet. I think looking stylish is about looking groomed. As long as your make-up looks beautiful you can get away with wearing anything.’
