Milan Fashion Week is usually the place to find the most directional outfits, the highest of heels, the wackiest of trends at the most inopportune times (think Balenciaga cocktail dresses at 9am in the snow).
But something changed this season. The fashion pack turned practical. It was cold, they wore layers. Ground was cobbled, they wore sturdy heels. A beanie hat was even spotted on the front row when the temperature took a severe turn for the worse. Yet most satisfyingly, it was one of the strongest seasons for personal style to shine through.
