Favorite career moment: I've been so lucky to travel the world and work with so many talented people that it is hard to say, but one of the things I'm most proud of is an editorial I shot for French Vogue with David Sims in 2006, on the day of my grandfather's funeral. I was in Paris doing the shows when I found out he had passed, but he was so supportive and loving and just such an amazing human being, and I knew and know he would have wanted me to embrace every opportunity, and so I shot this spread featuring the clothing of John Galliano, and it came out great, and I always think of my 'Granddaddy' when I see the photographs.

Fitness regime: It depends where I am. If I am at home I go to the gym or join some classes. When I’m travelling I have personal trainers or I have been known to attend Barry’s Boot Camp – it's great! I have also just started wakeboarding – it’s very difficult but I won’t give up! During the wintertime I am really into snowboarding and if I don’t feel like any of that I love a Bikram yoga class.

An embarrassing moment you’ll admit to… At one of my first shows in New York, I was really nervous. I went in early to do a light test and I took a swig of what I thought was green juice but actually was salad dressing. I turned round with it still in my mouth and there was the designer so I had to swallow it…
Favourite city to shop, party, sightsee: I recently just moved back to London and I’m discovering so much I hadn’t seen before, I’m really in love with London. I think New York is the best city to go out in, though.
