16 Rainbow Coloured Engagement Rings That Will Make You Say 'Diamonds, Who?'

Rainbow rings are so hot right now

Once upon a time they might have said diamonds were a girl's best friend, but not anymore. With young couples increasingly choosing multi-coloured jewels over diamonds for their engagement rings, it seems more affordable, and generally more fun, styles are making a major bridal comeback.

Jewellery expert and founder of In Detail, Beanie Major reckons it's all about expressing yourself. 'My clients come to me because they want to find something unique. They want a ring that makes them stand out from the crowd and reflects their own personality and style. A coloured gemstone is a great way to do this.'

Beanie's top tips for investing in your own rainbow coloured beauty?

1. 'Large emeralds will not always stand up to everyday wear and tear. If you want emeralds in your ring make sure you go for a good quality stone.'

2. 'Be sure to try on lots of rings before you buy to get a sense of what works well for not only your skin tone, but your wardrobe and nail varnish colour of choice as well.'
