You’re right to be thinking about coloured jeans- poppy neons and pretty pastels will be on the agenda for the foreseeable future so now is the best time to get these nailed early…
First up, it’s worth considering how much of a style statement the jeans are on their own, so keep the other pieces simple, understated and classic with neutrals, white and black. Silver and gold jewellery will add a luxe touch, as would a directional splash of metallic- possibly on the nails, bag or shoes.
My top tip is to treat them like you would any normal pair- but opt for the dressed-up look rather than casual. So to put it simply, you can’t go wrong with a crisp white shirt and tailored jacket. And for footwear, a pair of pointed courts or flats will instantly set you apart from any studenty connotations.
Wedge trainers are of course another footwear option, but should be styled with caution- you’ll have to make sure you style with a luxe, silk top and polished accessories to keep you on the right side of smart, and then when temperatures permit, swap for a pair of nude or black wedge sandals for a sophisticated look.
