Last night, ELLE Sessions played host to the inimitable talent of electro pop star A*M*E who wowed the audience at iconic London music venue The Scotch.
The 18-year-old singer/songwriter whose debut single - Play the Game Boy – launched this month treated a packed fashion and music crowd to tracks including Stacey which she joked was written about an ex-boyfriend who wanted to see other girls and an emotional rendition of Find a Boy.
Her acoustic set was made even more intimate by the darkly cavernous surroundings of The Scotch, a hidden-gem of a bar in London’s Mayfair where Jimi Hendrix famously played his first UK set and where The Beatles and The Rolling Stones hung out in leather booths that line the corners of the basement bar.
Wearing an embellished All Saints skirt while perching on a bar stool on stage, A*M*E kept the crowd laughing in between songs and then blew them away with her incredible vocals as they sipped on Tanqueray cocktails and nibbled scrumptious cupcakes from Lola’s.
A*M*E’s amazing performance was part of ELLE Sessions, an exciting new initiative profiling and championing the hottest emerging talent in the music world.
We predict big things for this tiny pop-star in the making.
