Congratulations are in order for Thandie Newton and Ol Parker who welcomed their third child - and first son - Booker Jombe on Monday.

Both parents took to Twitter to announce the news about little Booker, who was born at home.

Thandie tweeted: 'Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday.'

She also gave details of the birth process, writing: 'My 3rd home birth with brilliant independent midwife Caroline Flint - and Carole Goddard @PhoenixMidwives. Keep independent midwifery alive!'

Meanwhile, husband and film director Ol Parker tweeted: 'We had a baby, that's a beautiful thing. He's called Booker, and while he doesn't do much yet, I suspect him to be awesome.'

If he's anything like his parents, we're sure little Booker will be awesome. Congratulations to Thandie and Ol!
