You'd think Cara Delevingne would be about ready to put her feet up, but no – she's taking on a new challenge, and the results are coming soon to a television screen near you.

The model, famed for those brows and her ability to pull a peculiar face (as well as her incredible modeling talents, of course), will be starring in a one-off Sky Arts drama called Timeless.

Written by Tim Firth, the pen behind Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots, the drama follows the story of two women who are separated from their partners by war.

At the ELLE Style Awards last month, Cara told us that, out of acting and modelling, she preferred the former.

‘I would love to play the part of a really strong female character, who is inherently strong and not just because she’s been broken down before,' she revealed.

‘In my opinion, there aren’t enough roles out there in the acting world that women and young girls would be able to look up to.’

Well, it certainly looks like she’s getting her wish. Watch out Hollywood, Cara’s a comin’.

The Timeless series will be aired in May.
