LVMH Prize finalists revealed

Simone Rocha made the cut...

The ever-talented London designer Simone Rocha, will be adding LVMH Prize finalist to her extensive list of accomplishments.

Last year, the young designer not only scooped up our first ever ELLE/Cointreau Bursary, but 2013 also saw Rocha pick up the Emerging Talent Award at the British Fashion Awards. Now with the added revelation of her place as one of the semi-finalists vying for the coveted LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize, there is no doubting her trajectory for success.

The finalists are a select 30, whittled down from the 1,221 international emerging designers who applied for the luxury-conglomerate's talent scouting contest. As well as invaluable exposure, the prize comes with a grant of 300,000 euros, in addition to a year of expert industry mentoring.

'I think it’s a great thing to support fashion and support designers,' says Delphine Arnault, second-in-command at Louis Vuitton and a key talent scout at LVMH. 'It’s really our responsibility to find the talents…and to help them grow.'

Other semi-finalist designers holding the torch for our capital include Meadham Kirchoff, Thomas Tait and J JS Lee.
