Awards season is just around the corner that glittering, glamorous time of year when we gather round our screens to coo over red carpet dresses and wish we were best mates with Jennifer Lawrence.
The Bafta nominations are in, and there are a fair few ELLE favourites in there. Cover star Amy Adams is up for the coveted accolade of Best Leading Actress for her turn in American Hustle; didnt we tell you this would be her year?! And another of our cover stars made the list, this time a fella Michael Fassbender is nominated in the Supporting Actor category for his role in 12 Years a Slave and up-and-coming star Lupita Nyong'o (read more about her in the February issue) has also been recognised for her role in Steve McQueen's drama.
Both 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle received a total of 10 nominations - including nods for their main and supporting stars in all acting categories but it was space thriller Gravity that led the way with 11 nominations.
And Miuccia Prada will be pleased she worked on the costumes for The Great Gatsby alongside Catherine Martin, who has received a nomination for the films costume design.
One things for sure: the red carpet line-up is set to be very talented (and very, very attractive) also up for awards are Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Bradley Cooper and Leonardo Dicaprio. But who will win? Time to place your bets
