Three cheers, Nigella Lawson is set to make her highly anticipated return to our TV screens later today. She will be co-hosting new series The Taste, which promises blindfolded judges, intense taste tests and competitive contestants (think The Voice, but foodie). It's all the excuse we need to summarise why we love her
1) She loves food and eating as much as we do. We share tasty common ground.
2) Innuendo makes us laugh (a lot) and Nigella brings more than you can shake a spatula at.
3) She can stand the heat. Look no further for a shining example of how to conduct yourself with dignity under pressure.
4) Constantly looking fantastic is hard, weve tried. Somehow Nigella manages to do it all of the time.
5) She runs the show. Literally. On The Taste Nigella is one of three judges the other two being Anthony Bourdain and Ludo Lefebvre but Lawson is so The Boss. A woman to be reckoned with.
Bonus reason: she turns to chocolate when the going gets tough. We do that too...
