It's not just pierced ears and diamond studs that North West was gifted in celebration of her first twelve months of life. No - she also had a party. And not just any party. A festival party. Which was, like, an actual festival. Called Kidchella.

We kid you not.

But the real question is: how does it compare to the celebrations of her celebrity contemporaries?

We couldn't help but wonder whether the inspiration for Kidchella came from rather close to home. North's cousin, Mason Disick, also had an extravagant outdoor first birthday, which featured a personal petting zoo.

The gold standard for blow-out birthday parties, though, was set in 2008 by then-two-year-old Suri Cruise, whose parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent $100,000 (no, that's not a typo), ensuring she had the day of her dreams.

It included 1,000 live butterflies and a $5000 cake.

After three boys, Victoria and David Beckham were understandably thrilled to add little girl Harper Seven to their family.

Predictably, they threw a pink-themed first birthday for her - replete with dyed-pink bunny rabbits - at a similar $100,000 cost.

But it's Blue Ivy's second birthday bash that takes the candle-bedecked cake.

Beyoncé and Jay Z hired out an entire wildlife park called Jungle Island in Miami - and Bey just couldn't resist publishing pics of her kissing an actual monkey on her Tumblr page.

Still - looks like Kendall and Kylie enjoyed Kidchella, anyway...
