Last night, Lisa Luxx, “preditor-in-chief” of PROWL magazine, hosted a creative happening to launch the release of PROWL’s pilot issue; Counter Culture isn’t Over.

The party was held at Ink London, Professor Green and Gerry Calabrese’s club on One Leicester Square. Alongside a DJ set by independent fashion designer IamVibes, the diverse crowd were entertained by a series of performances. First up was Grace Savage, two-time female UK champion beatboxer followed by spoken word artists Rik the Most, The Freewheelin’ Troubadour and Lisa Luxx. Finally, Suki Waterhouse took to the stage to talk about why she funded the magazine, “it’s a place where young creatives can take risks”, before performing a short set of her original music.

The room was a mix of underground independent creatives and industry maestros such as Robbie Honey, admiring the PROWL HOUSE jewellery range, designed by art director Jacob Escott. Guests drank predator-themed cocktails which were made up with Hennessy Cognac and Glenmorangie Whiskey. New age tarot card readings were available from Louise Androlia.

Lisa Luxx announced the arrival of the magazine as “a place where artists, photographers, poets, go-go dancers, fashion designers, musicians and anti-net kids all come to kick off their shoes, bras and thinking caps. This is the place for us to get up to no good while doing our best.”
