Beyoncé's On The Run tour may be on hiatus until September, but the singer won't be putting her feet up.

MTV have confirmed that she will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month – where she'll also be honoured for her contribution to music and popular culture.

Bey will join the likes of Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Madonna and George Michael who are all previous winners of the prestigious accolade, more formally known as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

In addition to this, Mrs Carter has been nominated for no less than eight awards including Best Music Video for Drunk In Love.
