In our sixth year now, ELLE’s annual talent competition is once again on the look out for the next big writing star.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, we want to hear from you.

HOW TO ENTER:

We want you to write a 700-word piece entitled 'The Letter I Wish I'd Written'. It can be addressed to anyone - and make us laugh or cry (or both).

Our panel of expert judges will be tackling the difficult task of picking five deserved finalists.

What’s in it for you? All finalists will receive a beautiful monogrammed Smythson notebook, worth £135.

And the winner?

Well, other than having your writing published in our glossy January 2015 issue of ELLE (what better way to kickstart your year?), you’ll also receive a luxury trip for two to Paris, with a stay in the charming literary-themed Pavillon des Lettres hotel.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, send your submission to writingcomp2014@elleuk.com pronto.
